Can we meet you before we book?
Absolutely! I'd love to take you out for a cup of coffee. If we can't meet face to face, we can setup a Zoom call to chat online.
Can we do a private letter reading?
Yes - it's one of my favorite things! When you're planning out your day, be sure to save 10 minutes for the bride and 10 minutes for the groom to read their letters. It's important that this is as natural and distraction free as possible. What I'll do is setup the camera, test the audio, hit record and leave the room - that way you can read the letter without any possible stage fright / nerves. We request that the photographer not be in the room during this moment either, that way you won't hear the camera clicks or see the flash go off. We recommend the photographer take photos right before or after the actual letter reading.
Are you certified to fly your drone?
Can we pick a specific song?
Yes and no. I can't use a song like Perfect by Ed Sheeran due to copyright infringement - I could potentially get sued by the record label. Rather, I use professional licensed music and can send you a list of options. If there are any songs you're definitely not feeling - consider them gone.
What happens if you can’t make it to our wedding?
Well let's hope that never happens! If I'm able to, I will immediately send a replacement whose filming style is similar to mine - I will still do the editing. If there is a no show, I will completely refund you 100%
Are you going to pose us?
Very minimally. For example, I might tell you to wrap your arms around your fiance and tell a funny joke or whisper something in their ear. Most of what I capture will be completely natural and you might not even know I'm capturing it - I'm that discrete. Getting natural, candid moments really adds a wow factor to the quality of your film.
Do we need to send you a shot list?
No. I capture natural and candid moments, I don't stage them. I will obviously capture the traditional things like the first look, the first kiss, the first dance, etc. But if there's something that I wouldn't otherwise know about that might be unique to your wedding, please let me know so I can plan for it. For example, if you really want a certain family member or friend in the video or if there's going to be a group chanting something from the good old college days.
Do you offer photography?
I do not personally photograph weddings. But I know two amazing humans that do! Check out Ila Mar and Kim Witte's work. If you book us together, we offer a discounted rate.
How long does it take to get the videos?
Ideally, as quick as possible. Worst case scenario, 6 weeks. We usually get the social media teaser sent out in less than a week, sometimes the next day.
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes. I'm fully insured and can provide you with proof of insurance.
How would you describe your style?
Cinematic, candid, light and airy. This isn't for everyone - and that's ok. I love the subtle greens and earthy tones, lighter and brighter feel to videos. You'll often see I use slow motion in most of my videos, this can be powerful as long as it's not overused.
Do we have to have a first look?
Don't ask me it's not my wedding! This is your special day, you should be able to do whatever you want. If that includes a first look - let's get it. If not, that's fine!
